Review - Sennheiser HD497

Yo !!! Finally I got my Sennheiser-HD497 headphones from US. I keep listening to music almost for entire day. So I wanted the best of the lot (ofcourse affordable though :p).

I must say they are worth the time and money I spent for them. After studying customers' reviews on Amazon carefully, reading different specsheets I chose to go for these. As advertised, they do excel in two areas : quality of sound and comfort.

The sound very rich. They do very faithful reproduction of the sound without amplifying bass or treble. Also the sensitivity is pretty high. I could hear some un-heard instruments in Rehman's songs. The closed ear-cups isolate external noise nicely.

They are very lightweight and they don't bother me with their existance. The cushoning is nice and the look is trendy.

I must say, they add to my proud possessions :-).

म्हातारी

एकदा केव्हातरी शांतपणे बसावं आणि वयानुसार आपण काय काय गोष्टी सोडल्या ह्याचा आढावा घ्यावा. मग लक्षात येतं, की आपण गाभुळलेली चिंच अनेक वर्षात खाल्लेली नाही. जत्रेत मिळणारी पत्र्याची शिट्टी वाजवलेली नाही. चटक्याच्या बिया घासून चटके द्यावेत असं आता वाटत नाही, कारण परिस्थितीने दिलेले चटके सोसतानाच पुरेवाट झालेली आहे. कॅलिडोस्कोप पाहिलेला नाही. सर्कसमधला जोकर आता आपलं मन रिझवू शकत नाही, तसचं कापसाची म्हातारी पकडण्याचा चार्म राहीलेला नाही. कापसाच्या म्हातारीने उडता उडता आपला 'बाळपणीचा काळ सुखाचा' स्वत:बरोबर कधी नेला ते आपल्याला कळलचं नाही. आता त्या ट्रिप्स नाहीत. दोन दोन मुलांच्या जोड्या करून चालणं नाही. विटीदांडू नाही. साबणाचे फुगे नाहीत. प्रवासात बोगदा आला तर एक अनामिक हुरहुर नाही.

त्या उडणा~या म्हातारीने हे सगळे आनंद नेले. त्याच्या बदली तिचं वार्धक्य तिने आपल्याला दिलं. म्हणूनच ती अजून उडू शकते. आपण जमिनीवरच आहोत.

सुन्दरतेवर होवो जगणे चक्काचूर,
मज अब्रुचे थिटे बहाणे नामन्जूर.

रुसवे फ़ुगवे भाण्डण तण्टे लाख कळा,
आपला तुपला हिशोब आहे हा सगळा,
पावती इथेच द्यावी अन घ्यावी,
गगनाशी नेणे गाऱ्हाणे नामन्जूर.

मी मनस्वितेला शाप मानले नाही,
अन उपभोगाला पाप मानले नाही,
काळा ज्यातुनी एकही फिरला नाही,
नभ असले मी अद्याप पाहिले नाही.

नीती तत्त्वे फसवी गणिते दूर बरी,
रक्तातील आदिम जिण्याचि ओढ बरी,
जगण्यासाठी रक्त वहाणे मज समजे,
पण रक्ताचा गर्व वहाणे नामन्जूर.

Writing after long time. I read two Dan Brown books in last few days "Da Vinci Code" and "Angels and Demons". First one has more masala contents, however second is well-thought-of.
Planning to read his "Digital Fortress" :-)

An atypical story of a high-tech project manager at NASA (nasha in his Aaya's words). Actually nothing happens in the movie which can be called "a story". Everything happens as per audiences' expectation. Mohan Bhargav coming to Swades to search his darling Aaya, finding his soulmate, realizing his life mission, fight between duties vs. love, finally balancing them both, and Kushti at the end. :))

Still I'll call this atypical.

Overall impressive effort by Ashutosh. Rehman's music gives a good support. Casting Gayatri Joshi in a female lead role certainly helps to pull public to the theatre (Dont expect an item song though, she is gorgeous).
